Dr. Kuei Pin Yeo
Founder

Founder of YMJ, STIKMI, as well as all the programs under YMJ, Dr. Yeo is an accomplished artist and educator who has dedicated her entire life to planting and nurturing the seeds of musical talents in Indonesia and around the world. Not only was she the first person and woman to be awarded a doctorate in music in Indonesia, but her established institutions are pioneering music education in Indonesia and its surrounding area.

Dr. Daniel Paget
Board Member

Dr. Paget is a conductor, composer-arranger, pianist and educator living in New York City.  He founded Columbia University’s Barnard-Columbia Chorus, as well as the Apollo Chamber Orchestra, and led the Paget Chorale in performances at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and elsewhere. Mr. Paget was also music director of the Westchester Chorale.  Mr. Paget has been described by The New York Times as “a stimulating interpreter whose energy and enthusiasm are thoroughly infectious.”

Jap Tji Kien
Head of Strings

Jap Tji Kien, the first FRSM (Fellowship Royal School of Music, London) award recipient, was born in Bandung, Indonesia. He began his violin studies at the age of 4 and since his debut appearance at the age of 10, his career as a soloist as well as chamber musician has taken him to various concert stages, radio and television appearances, and he has since gained wide recognition throughout the country.
